**About the Opportunity**:
Jacobs are recruiting for a Construction Site HSE Supervisor to join our Project CHIMERA delivery team working with the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority. This is a key role within our delivery team working alongside our design, procurement, quality, and construction delivery disciplines, our key suppliers and the Client’s project team.

The purpose of CHIMERA is for prototype component validation under fusion relevant heat flux, thermal-hydraulic and electromagnetic conditions. The scope of work is to Design, Manufacture, Integrate design by others, Installation, and Commission of the rig. Jacobs are Principal Designer / Principal Contractor under CDM Regulations.

The role will require:

- The Construction Site HSE Supervisor to be accountable in providing positive leadership and guidance on HSE matters within the Project Team.
- Promote the adoption of best practice, with an enthusiastic HSE culture that delivers positive commitment to and engages all employees in continuous improvement in HSE performance.
- The Construction HSE Supervisor will monitor and report on the effectiveness of the HSE performance against HSE Performance Standards and will make recommendations for improvement as appropriate.
- The Construction HSE Supervisor is accountable with functional responsibilities to the Project Construction Manager.
- The role will be based initially at Warrington and will require from time to time, business travel to the Client’s site at Rotherham. Flexible working arrangements between office and home may be possible, however following full site mobilisation, the role will predominantly be based at the site in Rotherham.
- A proven track record of working within highly regulated environments with high safety standards and culture.
- Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to develop relationships, maintain effective networks and be results-focused tempered with a team-centred approach.

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant technical discipline.
- Experience of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 with experience working within both the Principal Designer and Principal Contractor teams.
- Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate, Construction Certificate or NVQ Level 3.
- Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) is desirable.
- Operational knowledge of current HSE legislation associated with multi-discipline construction work.
- SMSTS and Temporary Works training will be desirable.
- Good communication skills and the ability to develop a network and working relationships with other groups involved in project delivery.
- Suitable relevant experience working as a HSE Professional in a project context. This needs to include experience working within a highly regulated, operational environment.
- Must be experienced in managing site contractors and experience of accident investigation and reporting.
