Part of a small and specialised team within the Compliance department, within our larger Property directorate, there are plenty of people to learn and gain experience from.

You will support our business on the completion of Compliant Type 1 & Pre-Occupation Fire Risk Assessments to a pre-determined programme, provision of advice to colleagues on fire related matters. You will also review documentation provided by other organisations relating to the fire safety of our residents.

You will have an input on our development programme and have experience in reviewing Reg 38 documents and pre inspecting new build blocks. As there is a requirement to visit sites across the full area in which Paradigm operates, this includes: Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, London, Northants and Oxfordshire. As part of this role you will write up reports in a timely and accurate manner, it is essential that you have a full current driving licence and daily access to a car.

Business mileage, minus your commute from home to work, will be paid at the prevailing rate.

**To be successful in the role you should have/be:
- Able to demonstrate how you have worked to deadlines whilst engaging customers and colleagues.
- You will also have experience communicating with local fire and rescue organisations to develop positive working relationships.
- Demonstrable enthusiasm for fire safety and a passion for excellent service who has experience in carrying out fire risk assessments in a team environment.
- Experience/knowledge of fire risk assessment in a Housing environment is essential
- Competent Fire Risk Assessor and be prepared to continue your learning in what is a developing field.

A reasonable level of physical fitness is required for the role as there will be some carrying of ladders as the role involves accessing roof voids as part of the risk assessment process, ensuring Health and Safety Requirements are always met.
