Despatch Supervisor

Thompson & Morgan is known as the expert in flower and vegetable seed market, but over the last few years we’ve grown to also include plants, bulbs, fruit, garden furniture - in fact everything you could want to create a stunning garden for your home. We generate over 2 million orders per year marketing our products via our website, catalogues, press, Amazon, EBay and home shopping TV channels as well as have a very strong garden centre presence.

We have an exciting opportunity available at our site on Bluestem Road, Ipswich, managing a team of staff so that goods are prepared, packaged and despatched on time and according to quality and cost expectations across both business to business (B2B) and business to consumer (B2C) channels.

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Accurate picking and packing of goods for despatch
- Managing a small team of staff to achieve clear targets
- Scanning packed orders to update our system ensuring orders are placed in the correct areas ready for courier collections
- Keeping to deadlines and meeting customers expectations
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment and good housekeeping standards
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Experience managing teams of staff
- Ability to work well with others in a dynamic environment
- Understanding and experience of despatch and stock management processes
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and maintain productivity targets
- Good level of English (verbal and written) as being able to understand and carry out work instructions and Health & Safety procedures is essential.
