**Role Summary**:
The purpose of this role is to support the Business Development Manager and oversee the Capital Investment Plan, ensuring efficiency and smooth workflow in accordance with project requirements including objectives, timelines and budget.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Support the Business Development Manager on performance and project management of the Capital Investment Plan, providing continual improvement to ensure the achievement of the plan’s objectives.
- Support the BD team in the construction of Capital Approval Requests (CAR) and business cases for capital expenditure and Board approval.
- Accurately document the project's creation, development and execution as well as documenting the project's scope, budget and justification.
- Ensure total compliance to the delivery framework at every stage of each project.
- Project manage the introduction of new machinery, plant and equipment and processes - from drawing specifications through to full installation - associated with the Capital Investment Plan.
- Negotiate contractual terms and deliverable milestones with suppliers.
- Coordinate workstreams and manage project actions to ensure progress, budget and outcomes are delivered as required.
- Coordinate the involvement of project representatives from departments across the business and ensure project activity is aligned.
- Facilitate Capital Investment Plan meetings, including coordinating and producing associated progress reports, financial reports and risk registers as necessary.
- Advise the Senior Leadership Team on progress and associated risks, seeking approval and decisions as necessary.
- Work with other departments including Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Maintenance and Quality to define, prioritise and develop projects ensuring that the appropriate resources and technical/specialist input is achieved.
- Monitor and maintain a programme for delivery of all investment projects and review at key stages.
- Analyse financial data, including project budgets, cashflow modelling, risks and resource allocation and produce financial reports and budget outlines to SLT and BoD.
- Act as the focal point and ‘driver’ for the Capital Investment Plan.
- Coordinate project debrief/evaluation activity and identify areas for improvement, whilst adhering to budgets and meeting deadlines.
- Responsible for the adherence to Health and Safety legislative and operational requirements associated with the Capital Investment Plan.
- Manage compliance of project activity in accordance with external regulations and legislation.
- Advocate the Core Values and demonstrate associated behaviours.
**To be considered for this opportunity you will have**:
- Knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Experience of financial/budget management in project delivery.
- Ability to manage multiple, complex projects running concurrently as part of the Capital Investment Plan.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills and the ability to work as an integral member of the Business Development Team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to write clear and concise reports and present findings to a variety of audiences, including Senior Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
- Ability to maintain high standards in high pressure situations.
- Effective influencing and negotiating skills.
- Ability to manage challenging environments.
- Competent in the use of IT and be able to use a wide of software packages such as Microsoft Office, MS Project, ERP etc.
- A pro-active approach to problem solving and conflict resolution.
- A confident approach to decision-making.
