**IT Officer**

**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

**Salary**: Up to £35,000 per annum

**Contract**: Permanent

**Job Purpose**

As an integral part of the business you will ensure the company’s IT systems function correctly, securely and provides the necessary support to meet the needs of the business.

**Main Duties**
- Installing and configuring of hardware and software
- Diagnosing and solving IT issues reported by users
- Set up domain accounts within Active Directory and manage users and access rights
- Support, configure, maintain, and upgrade business servers on VMware
- Ensure security of data and network access
- Monitor network performance
- Ensure backups of servers and data are maintained and running.
- Responsible for the IT Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Ensure Citrix and RDS is up and running to allow staff and customer to connect to Priority ERP System
- Review the requirements of SharePoint as part of the QMS
- Keep up to date with any new IT trends and changes
- Review and manage the IT budget process
- Responsible for Product labels system to include PC software management.

**Priority ERP System**
- Installing and configuring of necessary software updates and backups
- Diagnosing and solving issues reported by users on Priority
- Support and administer the Priority system to include:

- User and permissions setup
- Monthly Server and SQL Server checks
- Diagnosing and solving issues on Priority from users
- Liaising with 3rd party Support for system improvements and solutions

**Other duties**
- To undertake any other duties or projects appropriate to the level of the post as required.
- Demonstrable experience in a IT support role
- Experience of system administration and proactive management would be beneficial
- Previous experience of working within a manufacturing environment is desirable
- Experience of ERP/MRP is preferable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Advanced Excel skills would be an advantage
- Ability to communicate effectively and build working relationships within internal and external stakeholders
- The ability to achieve targets and personal objectives
- A positive outlook with the ability to work under pressure and to work flexibly to meet business requirements
