**Job overview**:
An opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Senior Clinical Fellow in the Departments of Upper Gastrointestinal (Oesophagogastric) and Bariatric Surgery, at Salford Royal Foundation Trust. This is a 12 month post which will provide an opportunity for the appointee to learn and develop subspecialty-level skill in the management of Oesophagogastric cancer and Bariatric Surgery.

To provide further training in Oesophagastric and Bariatric Surgery with emphasis improving competence for performing cancer resections and bariatric surgery.

An opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Senior Clinical Fellow in the Departments of Upper Gastrointestinal (Oesophagogastric) and Bariatric Surgery, at Salford Royal Foundation Trust. This is a 12 month post which will provide an opportunity for the appointee to learn and develop subspecialty-level skill in the management of Oesophagogastric cancer and Bariatric Surgery.

**Main duties of the job**:
This post would be suitable for a Post CCT SpR or for a SpR (ST 7&8) who wish to take Out of Programme Experience (OOPE).

The Salford Royal Foundation Trust is the sole surgical centre for Oesophagogastric cancer surgery for the whole of Greater Manchester (population of 3.2 million. The department also provides bariatric surgery for the Greater Manchester.

- Evidence of achievement of foundation year 1 and 2 competencies or equivalent
- Previous experience of working within the NHS
