- **Print Assistant **_
- Job Purpose: _Working as a key member of the printing team, you will assist in making ready, running and maintaining the print machine in a safe manner, whilst ensuring optimum output to a high quality standard. Conduct ancillary tasks to maintain the print machine with raw materials and sundries.
- Main Duties:_
- Assist the department to achieve target run speeds and obtain optimum performance.
- Follow Pecas plan and coordinate material supply with the fork lift driver.
- Produce Pecas tickets for scrap, rejected or returned loads and to secure loads prior to removal from area.
- Assist in the preparation of subsequent jobs and during make readies to achieve efficient change over between jobs, minimizing lost production time.
- Ensure machine area is kept clean and tidy.
- Help machine crews to achieve efficient running and cover meal breaks.
- Carry out all duties in a safe and efficient manner whilst conforming to H&S procedures.
- Present loads to press to the highest standard to generate high quality and efficient production.
- Input Pecas information accurately for all load details and report any shortages or material problems.
- Produce loads consumed report and check its content.
- Ticket all loads removed from feeder and return to stock (inform shift manager).
- Perform a timely and thorough handover with the oncoming shift to include safety, plan, machine condition and quality.
- Participate and contribute to all activities to improve safety, quality, productivity and lean initiatives.
