We are currently recruiting for a Full-Time **Assistant** **Estimator /Quantity Surveyor **to join our Office Based Team in Chorley.

**Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per year dependant on experience**

**Key Duties**
- Take enquiries whilst gathering all relevant information
- Attend sites for meetings and surveys
- Understand scope of work, complete take-offs from drawings and produce a bill of quantities
- Negotiate prices with suppliers
- Prepare and submit accurate and detailed tenders
- Chase up tenders / quotes submitted, requesting feedback on our submission
- Generate enquiries and new business
- Valuation of the works
- Prepare monthly Cost/Value Reconciliation
- Other duties as required to support the team

**Skills / Qualifications required for role**
- Level 3 BTEC in surveying & estimating (or equivalent/higher)
- Experience working as an Estimator in the construction industry
- Estimating and tender writing skill
- Ability to read architectural / structural drawings
- Highly organised and motivated and able to use own initiative
- High level of attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, and ability to work within a team
- IT literate, proficient in the use of MS Office
- Full UK Driving Licence and use of own vehicle (Desirable)
