Purchasing Manager (Indirect) - Ampthill - Permanent - £Competitive
ARM are delighted to be recruiting for a prestigious defence company who are actively seeking a Purchasing Manager to join them on a permanent basis.
The indirect Purchasing Manager will be responsible for all Facilities Management Procurement including Hard and Soft services.
What you'll be doing dayday:

- Management and development of a team of 3 Indirect Buyers
- Review of Specifications, issue of Invitations to Tender
- Negotiate with suppliers to ensure best value for money is achieved
- Provide guidance and expertise to support the successful delivery of procurement-based Projects
- Manage or monitor contracts to ensure all parties meet their contractual obligations
- Develop and maintain relationships with key business contacts to achieve mutual benefit
- Ensure procurement activities are compliant with internal/legislative procedures
- Providing the key interface between client and suppliers to ensure that communication is effectively managed
Your skills:

- Procurement experience within Facilities Management - Hard and Soft services
- Previous man management experience
- Supply chain experience in the defence environment
- Excellent understanding of procurement best practice
- Knowledge of strategic sourcing and advanced procurement techniques/tools
- Proven record of achieving cost savings
- MCIPS or working towards it
