We are working exclusively with a fantastic provider of care and support for Children with EBD and sourcing for a Registered Manager with the below criteria. The service is brand new in the North East and will support 4 children.
- Minimum Level 3 NVQ in Residential Childcare or Equivalent / NVQ Level 5 in Residential Childcare
- MUST have experience working with children and young people within care or with looked after children for a minimum of **two years**and also have worked in a supervisory capacity for a minimum of **one year.**

**Responsibilities of Registered Manager**:

- The day to day running of the home.
- Involvement in the tendering, referral and placement process
- Staff recruitment, management/ Supervision and professional development
- maintaining a high standard of care /support is maintained at all times in accordance with quality standards including all supporting documentation relating to this care.
- Ensuring that the best possible outcomes are achieved for the young people placed with us
- Leadership in safeguarding children and young people

**Key Skills/Requirements**:

- Two years’ experience working in CHILDREN'S RESIDENTIAL CHILDCARE
- One year’s management experience within residential childcare - this must include 1:1 supervision of staff.
- Have completed Level 5 be working toward Level 5 Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent, or willing to work towards this qualification (relevant to children's residential care).
- Ability of registering with OFSTED for the post.
- Knowledge of legislation and Ofsted regulations and inspections
- Be prepared to be on call when required.
