**Product Technologist**:
Are you passionate about rugs and have a keen eye for quality and design? We are seeking a talented and driven Product Technologist to join our dynamic team at Flair Rugs.

As a Product Technologist, you will play a crucial role in evaluating new product designs, managing vendors, overseeing critical paths, and ensuring the sealing process runs smoothly. Your attention to detail, proactive approach, and excellent communication skills will contribute to our success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Evaluating New Product Designs: You will be responsible for assessing the quality, durability, and design of new rug products. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of outstanding rugs that meet our customers’ expectations.
- Vendor Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with our vendors is vital. You will collaborate closely with them to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality materials and components needed for rug production.
- Critical Path Management: As a Product Technologist, you will oversee the critical path of each rug project, ensuring that all tasks are completed within set deadlines. Your proactive approach will guarantee a smooth workflow and efficient production process.
- Managing the Sealing Process: You will oversee the sealing process of our rugs, ensuring that they meet industry standards and quality requirements. Your knowledge of product manufacturing, testing, and sealing will be essential in delivering exceptional products.
- Working closely with the customer: You will establish strong relationships with our customers, understanding their needs and providing them with expert guidance. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to effectively address any queries or concerns they may have.
- Investigating and Managing Complaints: You will conduct thorough investigations to identify the root causes and implement appropriate corrective actions. Your commitment to customer satisfaction will help us maintain our reputation for exceptional service.
- Analysing Returns to Address Quality Issues: Identifying and addressing quality issues is crucial to our success. You will analyse product returns, gather data, and collaborate with suppliers to implement improvements and ensure superior quality in our rug offerings.
- Waste Packaging Review and Control: Promoting sustainability is at the heart of what we do. You will review packaging processes and materials to minimize waste and identify opportunities for eco-friendly alternatives.

- Understanding of audit and compliance processes: Familiarity with audit and compliance processes ensures that our products meet industry regulations and standards.
- Knowledge of sustainability in the têxtile industry: You have a strong understanding of sustainability practices within the têxtile industry, enabling you to contribute to our commitment to environmental responsibility.

Location: Etherow Works, Glossop (Easily commutable from Manchester with local train station and bus service)

**Salary**: Up to £30,000 depending on experience

Hours of work: Full time (37.5 hours per week)
