**Looking to continue your studies whilst working?**

**As an apprentice, you will work 4 days a week and have 1 day study leave for your **Data Protection and Information Governance Apprenticeships (Level 4) with our training provider Damar.**

The Data Protection and Information Governance Apprentice is a varied role supporting the Data Protection Manager. You will work with the Data Protection Manager in duties that support the delivery of compliance with data protection laws and regulations across the Firm. This will range from, dealing with Subject Access Requests, support the production of documents, complete standard reports and raise purchase orders and assisting with other administrative tasks as and when required.Main Duties:
- Work with the Data Protection Manager dealing with all aspects of data protection governance and compliance;
- Supporting on the implementation of measures and a privacy governance framework to manage data use, in compliance with the UK GDPR and relevant national legislation, including developing templates for data collection and assisting on data mapping and records and data processing;
- Provide functional and administrative support to the Data Protection Manager on protection related liaison, correspondence, monitoring, case management and reporting of activities;
- Enter new information onto our systems, update outdated information, assist in the review of documents and data reports for accuracy;
- ICO annual fee renewals: checking details are correct, processing purchase orders, removing old certificates from the Intranet and updating with new certificates, updating the ICO Register as required;
- Data breaches: initial review and assessment, identify cause, mitigations and reporting obligations;
- Responsible for keeping various activities logging requirements up to date including the Data Breach Register, the DSAR Register, complaints logs, ROPA;
- Assist the Data Protection Manager in undertaking risk assessments and DPIAs;
- Providing data protection information for client audit requests;
- Support the collation and checking of the overheads budget;
- Support the Data Protection Manager in coordinating and management of finance elements including raising POs and checking payment has been processed;
- Analysis of mandatory training completion stats and feed-back to the Data Protection Manager on areas of concern/improvement;
- Complete all assignments and exams;
- Take part in regular progress reviews with the Data Protection Manager to achieve personal development and growth.
