We are looking for a Data Protection Officer to join an industry leading, innovative company that is currently going through a big period of growth due to continued success

This business uses the latest technologies to address significant challenges that their customers are facing. These innovative solutions are fully cloud based & flexible and have led to multiple awards

This role will take ownership in a 'head of' capacity, managing their Data Protection, GDPR and Information Security.

You'll have responsibility for all matters relating to Data Protection, including implementing processes, procedures, documentation, remediation and reporting

Key Responsibilities
- To develop & maintain a continuous data governance process to ensure that all compliance requests are met
- Take ownership over the companies Data Privacy programme
- To manage the evaluation of risks associated with personal data loss due to unintended disclosures
- Develop and implement effective internal processes and controls where needed
- Oversee the data protection activities of the company related to internal & external client engagements
- Assist with the completion of DPIA'S and responding to DSAR's
- To meet with customers own security teams to discuss Data Protection focused issues, conducting tests and audits where needed
- To assist the sales teams in completing documentation and ensuring that data centric compliance is understood & in place. That a robust DPA is in place, any and all regulatory requirements are met and adhered to
- To work with third party's and ensure they are compliance
- Sitting within their Product Engineering function (SaaS), you will need to communicate regularly with technical stakeholders

This company operates a flexible, hybrid approach so you do need to be a commutable distance from Manchester for office visits as needed
