**REQUIREMENTS**:
You will ideally be from an extensive Fire Service, fire safety inspector background and have attended all the Fire Service College fire safety modules or fire service in house equivalents. A minimum Level 3/4 fire safety diploma (or equivalent) will be required.You should possess recognised industry fire safety qualifications such as a fire engineering degree, MIFireE, MIFSM, Eng Tech, HNC/D. Registration on an approved 3rd party accredited assessors register such as the IFE, IFSM (NAFRAR) or FRACS would be an advantage.You will need to demonstrate a proven track record in conducting and writing fire risk assessments and reports in a wide variety of premises to the highest standards. Attention to detail and quality report writing skills are an essential requirement for the role.You will also be required to manage your own workloads, be self-motivated and work to tight deadlines for submission of the FRAs. A detailed understanding of risk analysis will be required as opposed to just advising and quoting current fire safety guidance and standards. All our assessments are completed in a Fire Risk Management Web Portal and as such exceptional report writing and IT skills will be required due to the high volume of FRAs we provide for our clients. Due to a number of our key clients in social housing, experience of such work in the housing sector and in particular the Fire Safety Guide for Purpose Built Flats and the new Specialized Housing Guidance will be considered essential knowledge.Assessors will be expected to provide their own Professional Indemnity (£5m) and Public Liability Insurance (unless employed).In return, we offer excellent rates of pay, flexible working hours, office based and home working and regular weekly/monthly, long term varied work across all building types. Ideally, we are looking for applicants that will provide a long term partnership with us, with TFG being the main source of your consultancy work if sub-contracted.We are a BAFE SP 205:1 Life Safety Fire Risk Assessment certificated Company, accredited by UKAS and as such we maintain the highest standards possible. We provide regular CPD training and a mentoring programme for our consultants, and you will have access to fire safety support from a wide range of assessors and backgrounds.
