Reporting to the Museum Curator & Museum Learning and Access Officer, the post holder will be required to work within Forge Mill Museum Gallery and within the Museum shop at weekends. They will be expected to welcome visitors to the museum and provide information where required as well as providing gallery supervision and security for the exhibitions and exhibits.

The post holder will also be required to support the Learning and Access Officer with site activities, outreach, events and school visits.

There would also need to be a flexibility to facilitate out of hours site hires.

1. To be able to present information about local history and the museum site to visitors.

2. To carry out site checks when required.

3. To ensure that excellent customer service is being delivered at all times. Dealing with and recording any customer comment or complaint appropriately or referring to the appropriate manager as necessary.

4. To facilitate museum entry, orientating customers and assisting with any additional requirements they have as well as assisting with the purchase of retail items.

5. To promote the venue and its ongoing promotions to maximise sales opportunities and to provide relevant information to visitors, responding positively to customer enquiries.

6. To support the work of the Access and Learning Officer in delivering on site activities and events.

7. To promote other products and services at Forge Mill and other Rubicon venues at all times.

8. To have a flexible approach to working arrangements, working evenings and bank holidays where required, supporting other areas of the site if needed and across the wider Rubicon Leisure company on occasions.

9. To work in the museum, assisting customers and providing excellent customer service and advice if required.

10. To operate the Electronic Point of Sales equipment, carry out till checks and cash up as and when required, ensuring control and security of takings under the direction of supervisory staff.

11. To be a site key holder.

12. To adhere to safeguarding procedures and report any concerns.

13. To participate in training and development sessions when required

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £10.94 per hour
