HOURS: Various with on call requirements

Our client provides personal care and nursing services to children from 4 upwards to end of life, all of whom are living and receiving care in their own homes.

Their care service is aimed at supporting individuals with complex care requirements.
This care is delivered by skilled Healthcare Professionals under the supervision and leadership of trained nurses.

Duties
- Instil and maintain a positive working culture that has strong emphasis on improving employees wellbeing.
- Identifying the evolving needs of staff, provide resources, plan events and be a point of contact for those who may need further wellbeing assistance.
- You will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective working relationships throughout the service ensuring a high standard of care and wellbeing is achieved for clients and staff, through best practices.
- Provide expert advice on the development and review of approaches to sickness management, workforce policies and procedures and to lead the development of health and wellbeing policies and practice ensuring they are people focused, equitable and reflective of the dynamic working environment.
- Supporting teams with highly emotional and highly sensitive situations, where reassurance is required i.e. management of terminally ill staff or supporting teams where there has been a death in service. This will require co-ordinating any interventions to support the emotional needs of staff or co-ordinating any clinical support which is required.
- Carry out supervisions.
- Supporting staff wellbeing day to day, ensuring proper debriefs have taken place etc.
- Supporting staff who are under investigation with their emotional wellbeing.
- To champion the health and wellbeing agenda and support with the promotion of the health and wellbeing offer to all staff using various communication platforms.
- Take ownership of relevant health and wellbeing related risks and ensure appropriate management of these.
- Co-ordinate appropriate management of a contact illness related to an outbreak of communicable disease.
- Work autonomously and support the team including maintaining proficiency in clinical skills and professional standards in line with the professional body including compliance to relevant legislative and national guidance in the effective delivery of the role ensuring staff and patient safety.
- Be a source of specialist expertise and advise on matters relating to health and wellbeing of staff and sickness absence. This can mean exposure to highly emotional and distressing situations, directly and indirectly, hence providing reassurance as well as signposting to appropriate support services.
- Meet KPIs.
- Safeguard complex and highly sensitive, confidential, personal information include challenging personal circumstances and making difficult decisions.
- Grow and sustain positive partnerships.
- Responsible for the provision of psychological and other clinical support related to the health and wellbeing of staff and in conjunction with specialist providers where necessary.
- Lead on continuous improvement on occupational health service performance.
- Valuing cultural differences and barriers to engagement working towards reducing health inequalities. For example, ensuring a range of communication methods are used to help communicate a variety of information.
- To interpret national guidance and to translate these into company policies.
- Responsible for clinical judgements from the information obtained to identify areas of improvement and work collaboratively with colleagues to advice, guide and implement change utilising existing and new relationships.
- Act as an ambassador for the company at all times, promoting the vision, values and aims.
- Lead contact for specialist clinical advice and support management teams and staff in the provisions available to them and how to access support.
- Responsible for delivering the defined projects within agreed budgets.
- Develop robust processes for measuring, reporting, and sharing learning and outcomes of programmes whilst ensuring compliance
