Activity Worker (Day Service)

North Bristol

**Salary**: £11.75 - £12 per hour

We are looking for a day services activity lead worker who is passionate about learning disabilities and is very creative to bring about enjoyment and meaningful time for our day service clients. Our clients love having fun and going out into the community.

**Requirements**:
Knowledge of local resources

Previous experience in working in UK in a day service or in care home in a similar post.

Motivated and ability to engage day service clients.

Valid driving licence.

BSL - is desirable.

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday.

Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role:
QUALIFICATION OR TRAINING IN As an activities coordinator you will take lead in focusing on functional daily activities while promoting independence and wellbeing. You will be delivering meaningful activities as one to one or group sessions,

You will also be responsible for monitoring clients’ progress, assessing their behaviour and making sure that the staff supporting the clients are fully equipped and well prepared before the day of activities.

The role also expects you to take responsibility of resourcing materials and keep activity stock and budget always updated. This role offers a varied and fulfilling timetable, enabling clients to have a sense of achievement, when completing tasks that have been personalised to them, and within group activities.

Skills: Strong communicator, creative, motivated, ability to cope in challenging situations, understand and support individuals to lead a good quality of life whilst achieving positive outcomes along the way.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20-30 per week

**Salary**: £11.75-£12.00 per hour
