**Salary: Pro rata salary £12,122 per annum (Full time equivalent £24,245 per annum)**

We are currently recruiting for a Community Centre Assistant. This role is to be an integral part of the wider Community Asset London Team looking after 7 community centres, across a varied geographical area and therefore access to a car is essential. The role will provide operational support to the day-to-day running of the centres, with specific responsibility for the set-up, reporting repairs, cleanliness, and providing support during events, as well as health & safety and general building maintenance. There will also be a requirement to move and set up equipment, such as chairs, tables, and technical appliances.

This is a great role for someone who is customer focused and loves interacting with people. L&Q’s Community centres are at the heart of the community and no two days are the same.

**Key roles and responsibilities**:

- Weekly travel to centres across the portfolio to complete and record H&S and compliance checks and building safety for the centre
- Setting up rooms as per booking requirements
- Setting up refreshments
- General cleaning and maintenance
- Providing excellent customer support to users
- Take responsibility for opening and closing the building, this can include evenings and weekends as required.

- Strong customer service
- Previous caretaking experience or similar
- Flexible and dynamic approach to work
- Ability to prioritise and organise own workload.
- Strong team player with a passionate and positive attitude
- Ability and willingness to travel.
