The Homerton Sexual Health Service (HSHS) is an integrated Sexual Health Service. It provides an open access comprehensive sexual health service from its four main sites; HSHS at Homerton Hospital, HSHS at St Leonard’s Hospital, John Scott Health Centre and at 80 Leadenhall in the City of London.

A substantive position as a sexual health adviser has arisen to join an established team of experienced sexual health advisers.

The Sexual Health Adviser team is an integral part of Homerton Sexual Health Services delivering a whole range of sexual and reproductive health and HIV care services for The City of London, Hackney and beyond.

The service has three clinics in Hackney and one in The City of London

You will preferably be an experienced sexual health adviser,or willing to undergo training with an enthusiasm for improving the sexual and reproductive health and HIV care of the people we serve

Partner Notification for STIs including HIV. Ensuring outcome measures are attained

Pre and post test counselling for people diagnosed with HIV

Provide one to one behavioural interventions for people at risk STI acquisition and unintended pregnancy

Management of STI results ensuring timely recall and treatment if needed

Manage patients attending in crisis with the aim of referral on or sign posting to specialist support services

Be a resource for other team members and MDT in an area of specialism agreed by the team and the Lead Health Adviser
