Senior Clinical Fellow in Transplant Anaesthesia

Cambridge, United Kingdom Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Applications are invited for Senior Clinical Fellow in Transplant Anaesthesia, starting on 02 August 2023 for 12 months.

This fellowship post would suit applicants who have completed or nearly completed a recognised anaesthetic specialist training programme, including someone who already possesses a CCT in anaesthesia. The post offers the opportunity to develop and increase anaesthetic experience in transplant anaesthesia prior to taking up a consultant post. The level of supervision will be tailored to the fellow’s prior experience with the ultimate aim of independent practice with distant supervision, so to work at junior consultant level with senior consultant support. The Subspecialty Fellows participate in a non-resident on call rota on a 1:8 frequency.

Please note that these posts donotcarry Postgraduate Dean’s approval or training recognition.

Applicants must be registered with the GMC with a current licence to practice at time of appointment.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
