**THALES **are looking to recruit a motivated and driven **Head of Bid Management **to provide the over-arching functional leadership to the Bid Management team across a Domain within Thales UK. The role is required to ensure that best practice is applied to bid management with regard to the use and development of people, processes and tools.

You will be based in **Crawley **for our **Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance **division.

**What will you deliver?**
- Provide overarching functional guidance to the ISR Bid Management team (relating to people, process and tools).
- Be accountable on a functional basis for the delivery of successful bids to the Portfolio Leads and operations management teams.
- Being accountable for the dissemination and development bid governance in line with Thales Group and UK specifications.
- Provide cohesive updates and reports to ISR UK, ISR BL, UK and when required Group management teams with regard to the performance of ISR UK bids.
- Maintaining the ISR Bid Pipeline and presenting a consolidated bid picture to the domain’s leadership team.
- Being responsible for functional independent assurance reviews and reporting processes for the ISR’s Bid Management function.
- Ensuring the bid resource requirements are captures in S&OP.
- Accountable for the ISR B&P Budget. Including MYB forecasting.
- Ensure that effective networks and frameworks are established to drive development, improvement and learning for the advancement of the ISR’s Bid Management capability.
- Provide hands-on support to specific Bids, Projects and Operations B&PM requirements when in-depth supervision or advice is required.
- The role will also involve occasional ad-hoc duties that are not listed above but are necessary to respond to the needs of the business. These ad-hoc duties will be consistent with the nature of a Functional ISR Bid Management position within Thales UK.

**Who are we looking for?**
- An extensive track record of leading successful bids function in a complex business-management context.
- Evidence of the strong capability to develop and deploy excellent overarching business strategies for the performance of bid management people, processes and tools.
- A track record of providing support to domains and country-level senior management in relation to effective functional bid management.
- Extensive knowledge of the full business lifecycle management, including capture, qualification and developing capture plans and winning strategies.
- Evidence of the ability to provide coaching and development for managers and future leaders.
- Extensive client and stakeholder management capability.
- Extensive experience of working across stakeholder networks including; knowledge of commercial management, best practice supply chain and finance functions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Extensive Budget Accountability.
