**Hours of Work**:37 hours per week - 10.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Thursday and 10.30am to 6.00pm on Friday (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day)

**Weeks Worked**:52 weeks per year

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary School and Nursery are seeking to recruit a site assistant to work with the Estates Team in ensuring the smooth running of the school site and that it is kept fit for purpose at all times.

**Main purpose**
- Carry out first line repairs and maintenance which are not beyond the capability of the post holder
- Plumbing work eg repairing leaking pipes, replacing taps /washers etc
- Redecoration as appropriate
- Plastering work including repairing cracked /broken plaster making good damaged walls
- Mending broken fences and boundary repairs
- Drawing attention to the school business manager any repairs or maintenance required
- Carry out routine checks

**Security**
- Lock and unlock the premises as required, including out of school hours when necessary
- Check at the end of the day that all windows, doors and gates are locked, lights switched off, and gas and electrical appliances are turned off

**Health and safety**
- Ensure a safe working and learning environment in accordance with relevant legislation
- Carry out and record regular health and safety checks,
- Provide safe access to the school in cold weather conditions

**Closing date: Sunday 7th April 2024 (midnight)**
