**Job summary**:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our established eRostering Team in a new role as Compliance Lead.

The post holder will become a specialist in rostering maintaining rostering standards across the Trust, specifically within Nursing and Midwifery working closely with workforce leads. The role will focus on compliance with performance targets, and key performance indicators (KPIs) through effective and efficient rostering.

Nursing registration would be desirable but is not essential and support will be given to ensure NMC revalidation.

We are looking for someone with a passion and drive for delivering excellent service, a team player who relishes a challenge and is keen to use their own initiative as well as work within a dedicated team.

We offer hybrid working and flexibility to the working week and there may be the requirement to work occasional weekends and bank holidays. There is a requirement to work Trust wide across all our hospital sites.

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
This role will provide support and guidance for all aspects of eRostering data across University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust for all staff groups.

The post-holder will be responsible for the production and submission of weekly and monthly national, board and senior management workforce data reports from the electronic rostering system and be a core link with the support of the Head of E-Rostering.

The post holder will deputise in the absence of the eRostering Operational Manager and Head of eRostering.

**Qualifications**:
**Essential**:

- Professional knowledge acquired through degree plus or specialist knowledge acquired through courses or relevant equivalent experience.
- Recognised Teaching & Assessing course and evidence of developing and delivering training.
- Experience in working within a NHS eRostering function
- Strong system user for Healthroster
- Proven track record of leading a team to achieve objectives.

**Desirable**:

- Information Management qualification
- Rostering training or qualification

**Experience**:
**Essential**:

- Knowledge and understanding of a range of E-Rostering functionalities.
- Supervisory/team management experience
- Payroll experience
- Proven ability to challenge current practices and freedom to make changes in line with evidence-based recommendations.
- Detailed analysis and validation of various types of data to inform assessment of performance and to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Experience of working in a complex, changing environment, and in contentious situations.
- Experience of reviewing systems and procedures.

**Desirable**:

- Knowledge of NHS targets and performance indicators
- Understanding of the NHS Improvement Plan
- 3 years' experience in NHS information and data analysis environment
- Good knowledge and understanding of NHS terminology.
- NHS experience in an Acute Trust
- Experience of undertaking nursing skill mix reviews utilising acuity and dependency methodologies.
