**About the role**:
The principal purpose of this role is to support and develop a consistent strategic response with partners across the county to modern slavery and human trafficking. This would ensure that no matter where someone is being exploited in Norfolk, they are able to access information, advice and support to consider their options and access safety. The postholder will support and facilitate the development of the NASN and its key priorities on behalf of the partnership with key stakeholders and boards at a locality, county, regional and national level.

They will be responsible for coordinating, supporting and implementing the development of the following:

- Modern Slavery and Anti Trafficking strategy and associated delivery plan for the NASN; assisting implementation at a county and district level
- Participating in and supporting the activities of the NASN, associated subgroups, associated wider partnership groups and forums to maximise key objectives and assist with opportunities for collaborative working.
- Provide policy guidance on modern slavery and human trafficking for the NASN and assist in recommendations regarding emerging key themes identified locally, regionally and nationally.
- Building key partnership relationships with those responsible for tackling modern slavery and human trafficking at a district and county level.
- Raise awareness within the partnership, statutory, non-statutory, 3rd and private sector of modern slavery and human trafficking (MSHT) with an understanding of its nature in Norfolk
- Developing and sourcing materials/assets and training resources as required on MSHT
- Assisting the partnership to develop community engagement at a district and county level
- Monitor and measure the impact of NASN activity/projects and outcomes utilising and evidence-based methodology
- Identify local, regional, and national best practice to support the partnership response and develop continued learning.
- Work with the CSP Communication Officer and partners to support the implementation of communication campaigns aimed at the public, statutory and non-statutory partners, and local service providers across Norfolk.

**About the NCCSP**:
The Norfolk County Community Safety Partnership (NCCSP) comprises of a range of ‘Responsible Authorities’ as set out in the Crime and Disorder Act 1998, including all local authorities, police, probation, fire, integrated care board and a range of other parties that are integral to tackling crime and disorder in the county.

Since 2020, the NCCSP team has been hosted by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk (OPCCN).

This role will sit within the Community Safety Partnership (CSP) team at the OPCCN and lead on the development and delivery of the response to modern slavery and anti-trafficking for the NCCSP, working directly with partners from the Norfolk Anti-Slavery Network (NASN) across its strategic priorities.

The post holder will work alongside the Head of Community Safety and the CSP team, within the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk (OPCCN).

**It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria**:

- The role holder can demonstrate that they have a sound understanding and utilised their knowledge and experience regarding MSHT.
- Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 including that of the associated statutory guidance.
- Wide-ranging knowledge and experience of activities and partner organisations involved in responding to MSHT.
- Demonstrate a developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively and appropriately at all levels.
- Demonstrate working with partnerships and/or communities, dealing with them compassionately and empathetically, understanding of the issues of vulnerability.
