**The Opportunity**:
The School of Divinity seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Theology, Philosophy and Ethics. We are seeking to build on the School’s existing areas of strength in theology, philosophy and ethics and to develop our work in areas of contemporary ethical importance. We would particularly welcome applicants who can contribute to teaching and research on one or more of environmental ethics; nonhuman animals; political theology, theology and race; violence, nonviolence and peace; and/or gender and sexuality.

**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- An earned doctorate in a relevant academic discipline, conferred by date of agreed employment.
- Proven ability to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and a commitment to excellence in teaching.
- A developed area of research and evident progress in achieving quality original research publications commensurate with your career stage.
- Honest, reliable, highly motivated, adhering to high academic standards, cooperative with academic and administrative colleagues.
- A commitment to increasing equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Sensitivity to students from a wide range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds, and of various age-levels, and of various faith commitments or none.
