Band 2 Ward Clerk (Adult Day Surgery Unit / Chesterman Unit)

**This is an exciting new role for a new unit opened in May 2023**

This is a part-time post for 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday 07:00 to 13:30 - but some flexibility on hours will be required when necessary).

We are looking for a ward clerk for our Adult Day Surgery Unit - the role will also involve covering Chesterman Unit when the Chesterman ward clerk is not on duty.

Adult Day Surgery is a 34 bedded day surgery unit caring for patients pre and post operatively.

Chesterman Unit is a newly opened 13 podded unit for patients requiring inpatient surgery to be admitted prior to their operation.

Experience in administration and customer-facing experience is essential for this post.

Providing administration support to the nursing and medical team.

Liaising with theatres and other members of the MDT.

Welcoming patients on the unit.

Using electronic patient record (EPR) system.
