The Head of Operations will be part of the Senior Management Team and will assist this team in supporting potential further growth of MC Academy. This is a new position which requires a creative, dynamic and enthusiastic person who works well as part of a team whilst being self-motivated and ambitious.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Management of the overall operational logistics for MC Academy.
- Be responsible for oversight of compliance aspects for inspections/accreditations (British Council and ISI).
- Managing Administration Department (Accommodation, Enrolment & Compliance).
- Provide administrative and operational support to department managers.
- Develop and direct the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that the Academy complies with all Health and Safety and other statutory regulations.
- Liaise/support the Director of Studies with course provision and student services.
- Contribute to our aim for continual improvements, providing ideas to and liaising with the Senior Management Team.
- Complete general administrative functions critical to the smooth running of the School and its Departments.
- Ensuring staff are using existing project and information processes by ensuring that support and training are provided as needed.
- Demonstrate previous management and leadership experience with ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve results.
- Flexibility - as some travel may be required.

- Willingness and desire to develop new skills and knowledge.
- Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels internally and externally.
- Ability to use initiative and sound judgment, make informed decisions or recommendations and work under pressure.

**Experience**:

- Experience/knowledge of working in academic industry is desirable but not essential.
- CELTA/DELTA certificate is an advantage but not essential.
- A valid and accepted enhanced DBS or be willing to undertake this if successful.
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues.

**Competitive salary, dependent on knowledge and experience**

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Manchester, M2 3AN: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
