**Main Purpose of Job**

Working within Argent Oil Terminal’s (AOT) team of Operators, responsible for ensuring the safe and effective transfers and blends of fuel components in to and out of Argent Oil Terminal; also responsible for ensuring the safe, effective operation of steam generation & distribution to necessary Site facilities.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**
- Responsible for the safe loading and discharge of fuel components in to and out of AOT.
- Working within AOT’s team of Operators, to ensure that receipts, deliveries, tank to tank transfers and blends are carried out efficiently and safely with good record keeping and accuracy.
- Responsible for the sampling and dipping of tanks for the purpose of quality, stock records and testing.
- Carrying out regular checking and cleaning of the filter pots utilised around the site.
- Completing Planned Preventative Maintenance related to Operational equipment.
- Overseeing site inductions for new drivers and sub-contractors.
- Ensuring that third party contractors/hauliers all adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and Argent Oil Terminal site rules.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the site, loading/receipt bays, bund areas, lube plant & the pump house.
- Completion of Permits to Work and work authorisation to allow maintenance and engineering works to take place on operational plant.
- Responsible for ensuring that strict emissions readings are maintained within permissible parameters set by the environmental agency.
- Ensuring good combustion is maintained by controlling of fans and dampers via DCS.
- Responsible for the safe receipt, unloading & use of materials specifically to Biomass facility.
- Completing daily boiler water quality assurance checks and implementing any such corrective measures.
- Reports through Team Leader and provides full support for Biomass operational duties along with first line, maintenance and corrective repair with a professional focus, technical advice and support to the Engineering department.
- Responsible for testing the site fire alarm.
- To provide basic cleaning of the equipment and ensure a high standard of housekeeping and cleanliness to the working area.
- To accurately record information and events on report formats as required.

- Ensure a thorough knowledge of your Health & Safety responsibilities.
- Always wear Personal Protective Equipment as required. Take responsibility for your own PPE ensuring appropriate storage and care.
- Always strive to work in a manner safe to yourself and others and report any hazards immediately.
- Ensure all staff and visitors operate in compliance with Safety regulations
- Full responsibility for the safety of team members.
- Actively participate in addressing Safety, Health and Environmental issues affecting the production areas, ensuring the relevant S, H&E checks are carried out.
- Full knowledge of the Emergency Procedures and associated responses are required.

**Qualifications/ Knowledge & Experience**

**Qualifications**
- Fork Lift Truck licence is an advantage.

**Specific Knowledge, Experience & Skills**
- Previous experience of fuel handling is essential.
- Previous experience of fuel bulk storage is an advantage.
- Experience on COMAH sites is an advantage.
- Computer literate with a good understanding of excel spreadsheets.
