Speech and Language Therapist

Shire Healthcare are currently sourcing a Speech and Language Therapist for a specialist school based in Lancashire. The successful Speech and Language Therapist will support pupils aged 5-19 years old with Speech, Language and Communication needs, ASD, Asperger’s and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
This is a full-time permanent position although our client may consider part-time applicants.
The role:
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Counsellors, Art and Drama Therapists, Educational Psychologists and Speech and Language Therapists
- Completing assessments
- Planning, implementing and evaluating interventions
- Providing support and advice to the wider team and family members
- Ensuring all reports are written to a high standard
The ideal Speech and Language Therapist:
- Holds a relevant Degree/Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC registered
- Experience of working with children and young people with similar presentations
