We are seeking a Finance Manager for a role with a leading Wakefield based manufacturing group.
The Finance Manager will report into the parent company CFO whilst producing detailed management accountants and leading a finance team of 4 for a 15m turnover subsidiary business.
The Finance Manager will pro-actively lead on group finance projects and to deliver system improvements which will include working with the CFO on ad-hoc projects, including budget setting, KPI development and wider strategic projects.
Ideally you will be a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with experience working in a similar role within an SME; you will have regular interaction with your direct reports, business stakeholders and senior finance staff so good communication and interpersonalskills are a must.
Main duties of the role:

- Production of detailed monthly management accounts including variance analysis and commentary
- Assist in the control of income and expenditure and ensure spending is in line with budgets
- Assist with the integration and streamlining of the finance department where possible, and to maintain regular communication with other sites including site visits when required
- Recommend ways of cutting costs and improving business performance
- Assist with the production of the annual statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP
- Calculation presentation and payment of VAT and payment of quarterly corporation tax
- Calculation and submission of monthly CIS returns and statements
- Work with key department stakeholders to help make financial decisions
- Liaise with suppliers and customers and be the main point for escalation of queries
- Provide hands on support to the PL and SL functions when needed

**Salary**: £45,000 - £50,000
This role will be office based in Wakefield with occasional travel to business sites.
