**The Digital Department are looking for P**ermanent Head of Delivery**

**Full time **(36.5 hours per week)

**Hybrid working** - This is a hybrid role that offers flexible working between home and our Streatham Campus.
- As the Head of Delivery you will be responsible for the successful delivery of digital products and services, optimising digital operations for efficiency and value creation. You will be at the forefront of driving and overseeing the adoption of Agile principles, practices, and methodologies within the University of Exeter. This role will be essential in not only ensuring the continuous improvement of our digital department but also in helping us work better in order to foster a transformational environment in which we can achieve our ambitious digital strategy.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Drive strategic planning for Digital and define the operating model and ways of working.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify resource requirements and develop resource planning strategies linked to budgets.
- Work with senior colleagues to contribute to the 2030 Digital strategy and technical/product roadmaps.
- Lead and manage a diverse delivery focused team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Helping set the vision and deliver University-wide Agile transformation and establish cross-department collaboration on agile working.
- Develop capability by identifying skill gaps in digital and agile ways of working, executing training programs for upskilling, and fostering Agile communities of practice.
- Provide strategic direction and thought leadership in Agile methodologies, frameworks, and practices.

**We’re really looking for**
- Extensive experience in Product management and delivery, with a proven track record of implementing Agile practices at scale.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams of Agile practitioners.
- In-depth knowledge of Agile frameworks and methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, driving organizational change.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring individuals and teams in Agile practices and mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with the higher education sector and Agile implementation challenges and opportunities in an academic environment would be ideal but not essential.
