**Opportunity**:
Work in progress reporting and assisting with forecasting projections will also form a key part of the role.

**Duties will include**:

- Manage production orders/job releases with associated work packs for the production teams.
- Schedule production resource in line with order fulfilment requirements.
- Continually assess and review available capacity versus future demands and work with colleagues and stakeholders to address any issues.
- Manage and report utilisation of the available capacity, highlighting any areas of weakness for future improvement planning.
- Work cross functionally with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality etc to ensure that all matrix commitments remain to plans and to production schedules.
- Create a suite of reports highlighting WIP (work in progress) progression then manage and distribute to stakeholders ongoing.
- Provide management updates with visibility of material shortages, resource delays, variances or other potential conflicts or constraints to the production plan.
- Familiarise, review and manage the production function in accordance with company procedures and practices.
- Through the use of bespoke systems, produce work orders for the production process
- Ensure deliveries are made on time, in full to meet customer specifications
- Maintain any stock levels or raw, intermediate and finished material
- Identify opportunities for efficiency and cost saving improvements and liaise cross functionally as required to develop and embed the changes.
- Maintain and manage MRP data associated with the production function to ensure business data integrity.
- Complete and submit Non-conformance observations arising in production areas for corrective action close out.

**Skills and experience required**:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills

Previous experience of working in a Production Planner or Controller role.
- IT Literate with excellent knowledge and experience of using ERP and/or MRP systems and resource planning tools such as MS Project.
- Experience of working in highly regulated and/or legislatively controlled environments and industry sectors.
- Experience of Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing principals.
- Bachelor's Degree, HND/HNC in Production, Engineering, Supply Chain or Business-related discipline.
- Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Lean Manufacturing Practitioner
