Sen Qualified Teachers

We are looking for someone who is confident working with secondary-aged students with complex needs, and ideally has experience teaching a bespoke curriculum tailored to SEN student(s).
Responsibilities and Duties:
- The safeguarding of children
- Using behavioural management techniques (e.g. those learned in Team Teach or MAPA courses) to keep students calm and maintain a safe working environment
- Using de-escalation techniques to ensure the pupil is calm and able to access the full range of education on offer.

- Providing feedback and helping with assessments
Essential Criteria:
- Patience, flexibility and dedication
- You will be able to demonstrate positive reinforcement.
- At least 12 months of experience supporting children/vulnerable adults with SEN, ideally PMLD/SLD.
- A calm demeanour
- You will be able to demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
- Team Teach or THRIVE training would be an advantage but not essential
- Have a right to work in the UK (A Valid Visa)
- Two recent child-based references and relevant DBS/ Police checks
- Access to a car.
- Able to work 8.30-3.30, 5 days per week term time only

Five Education does not believe in using umbrella bodies, we use PAYE and how which isn’t comparable with umbrella body pay and there is no admin fee as with Umbrella bodies andFive Education pay employers national insurance on top of the salary.
