Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a Year 1 class.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Class Teacher to develop and implement individualized learning plans to support the child's SEN needs.
  • Provide one-to-one support to the child, promoting their social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Work closely with the Class Teacher to assess and communicate the child's progress and successes.
  • Contribute to creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that meets the needs of all students.
  • Support the Class Teacher in managing the child's behavior and providing positive reinforcement.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN is essential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Class Teacher and other support staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
