**Purpose of the post**

It is the role of the Deputy Leader to;
- Assist with the efficient management of childcare provision.
- Be aware and comply with all statutory regulations, policies/procedures and ensure the team adhere to these at all times.
- Assist with monitoring staff training, qualifications and DBS checks.
- Assist with managing and maintaining a high standard of service for all children and their families.
- Assist in monitoring health and safety, providing a safe indoor/outdoor environment for children and adults.
- Assist in supporting the delivery of child development assessments.
- Assist with managing the team including volunteers and students maintaining professionalism.
- Ensure the safety of all children is paramount, fulfilling Safeguarding and Child Protection Policies.
- To ensure that in the event of leaders absence they are able to set into the leader role.

- Childcare staff
- Volunteers
- Students

**Hours of work;**

Monday to Friday between 8 am - 5pm
- **Must be willing to work towards CCLD level 4/5**_

**Salary**: £9.85 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Childcare: 3 years (required)
