**Qualifications required**:
Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (preferably level 3)

Fluent Welsh speaker
- or at a good standard and willing to commit to a Welsh language course.

**Job Purpose & Responsibilities**

Providing a fun, accessible and engaging learning environment for children ensuring that their needs are met, and all required procedures are adhered to. This will include:
Following planning to ensure an adequate supply of activities are available r to challenge, develop and enhance the children’s learning experience.

Assisting with the recording and collating all relevant information to ensure accurate records are kept of children’s development and attendance in accordance with CIW, Flying Start & ESTYN guidelines.

Keeping Manager and Deputy fully informed of any issues that arise.

Creating a welcoming and engaging environment for children and their families.

Liaising with outside agencies to assist with support for children with additional learning needs and their families.

Encouraging and supporting a Welsh Medium education for all children, making use of appropriate resources throughout each session.

Abiding by all relevant legislation and internal policies relating to data protection and confidentiality.

Complying with the assigned duties set out in staff rotas.

Attending any training relevant to the post.

Undertaking any other duties that may be relevant to the post, or as directed by the Senior Manager to support the overall direction of the Cylch Meithrin.
