**QA Lead, Automated Testing, Lead Tester**

**The Role**

Whilst basic manual and automated testing is currently being carried out, my client is looking for the QA Lead / Lead Tester to build upon the current test strategy, as they seek to extend and enhance their use of automation to test software across the fullstack of a highly-intelligent FDA and CE-cleared, web-based Software as Medical Device (SaMD) solution, that provides artificial intelligence-driven diagnoses using clinical images.The QA Lead / Lead Tester will work initially to define the test plans andprocesses for the business, review all test scripts and architecture and lead on automation testing, selecting and implementing the most appropriate tools and designing and maintaining automation frameworks.

Once the function is fully established, the QA Lead will build and coach a strong QA/testing team to support the growth of the business and projects.

**What’s Required?**

This QA Lead position is an obvious fit for a QA Engineer or Automated Tester with some years’ experience within QA and automated testing, someone confident in their ability to define and implement an appropriate QA and testing strategy.Key elements ofexperience include:

- Previous, demonstrable experience of developing and maintaining automated tests, ideally in Selenium and/or Cypress
- Practical experience of writing test scripts at all levels, with Java preferred
- Strong knowledge of different software QA methodologies, tools, automation and processes
- A familiarity with cloud computing (my client uses both Azure and AWS) would be an advantage
- Any experience gained of testing within a regulated environment could prove useful, but is by no means required
