Job Title: Team Teach and SEMH Teaching Assistant

Location: Sefton

Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term

**Salary**: £11.50- £13.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Implement strategies and interventions to support the social, emotional, and academic development of students.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Utilise Team Teach techniques to effectively manage challenging behaviour and promote positive interactions.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents/carers, and colleagues to ensure a holistic approach to support.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs is essential.
- Team Teach certification essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience in dealing with challenging situations.
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting student learning and wellbeing.
- Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
