**What you’ll be doing**:

- Planning and developing the Partnership’s Supply Chain capacity, ensuring Waitrose and John Lewis trade plans can be commercially executed and the needs of key stakeholders are understood and delivered.
- Leading the Supplier Direct fulfilment channel for the Partnership Supply Chain.
- Communicating Supply Chain capacities and strategies to the business using effective data analysis to tell the story.
- Supporting the Supply Chain Planning & Development Director and key, cross functional Stakeholders to deliver a strategic, long term planning process, ensuring short term choices around space and capacity are aligned with longer term change and investment plans.
- Leveraging insight and professional networks to keep abreast of key customer requirements, market conditions and Supply Chain trends to drive customer satisfaction, commercial success and continuous improvements.
- Collaborating closely with Finance and Procurement on business plans, budgets, forecasts and commercial outcomes across all time horizons (short, medium and long).
- Lead the work study function for the Supply Chain, ensuring all work activities are measured to industry standards and incorporated into budget models and performance management routines.
- Constantly surfacing ‘Trade Off’ choices for the Partnership, ensuring opportunities for improvement are continually identified, assessed and communicated so that informed decisions can be made.
- Developing opportunities to increase stock efficiency, reduce cost-to-serve ratios and manage the reverse flow of stock.
- Collaborate with Trading teams to monitor and control inbound supplier performance to ensure the Partnership obtains the best value from our suppliers alongside cost recovery where necessary.
- Leading compliance and risk management for areas of responsibility.

**What you’ll need**:

- Proven senior stakeholder management skills
- Excellent data competence with the ability to ‘tell the story’ from analysis
- People leadership and management skills with a natural ability to lead, inspire, motivate and develop others.
- A natural ability to identify and act upon continuous improvement opportunities

**What you may bring**:

- Significant leadership experience from a Supply Chain/Merchandising background, preferably with Grocery or FMCG product
- A strategic, forward thinking mindset
- A confident, decisive and naturally challenging approach
