Prefer Homes is a successful, well-established provider who is proud to offer supported accommodation to males aged 16-18 years old, we are currently looking for dedicated, caring Support Workers to join our team.

Young people will be provided with support during the day so that they can form positive attachments with adults, Young people are typically aged between 16-18 and experience anxiety, mental health difficulties and occasional emotional distress. They are supported by nurturing staff who provide them with the love and security they need to grow, develop and recover from past experiences.

We are looking for caring residential support workers committed to providing our young people with a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment and being a consistent role model in their lives.

- Work collaboratively with colleagues, professionals and family members in meeting young peoples needs.
- Support and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of all aspects in the home including cooking, cleaning and finances.
- Ensuring that the needs of the young people are being met and reviewing and recording changes to those needs.

**What experience or qualifications would I need?**
- Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification is desirable; however training will be available.
- Experience of supporting vulnerable young people within a residential care environment, or similar youth worker experience.
- You will be compassionate, resilient, committed to being a positive role model and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
- Hold a valid UK driving licence and have business insurance.

**HOURS**

We are looking for a staff member who can work 30 hours per week, this includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 30 per week

**Salary**: From £10.42 per hour
