**About the Role**:
Westfield Road Surgery has an opportunity for a receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to work at a high performance GP surgery. Westfield Road Surgery is a friendly place to work; we train and support our staff and help them develop their full potential.
The primary focus of the role is to receive, assist, and direct patients (care navigation) in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient, and effective way. You will also:
- Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
- Receive and make telephone calls as required and take messages, ensuring accuracy of detail and prompt appropriate delivery.
- Enter requests for home visits onto clinical system, ensuring careful recording of all relevant details and where necessary refer to Duty Doctor.
- Action repeat prescription requests and ensure that they are ready for collection by the patient, either on the computer or manually.
- Ensure that all new patients are registered onto the computer system promptly and accurately, including temporary residents.

Westfield Road Surgery is a 5 doctor practice caring for 8350 patients. We also have 3 practice nurses and 2 healthcare assistants. We are located in Bletchley in Milton Keynes.
Westfield Road Surgery is one of 4 GP Practices, forming the Southwest Primary Care Network.
