Are you a talented Logistics Administrator, or are you aiming to be one?
Can you demonstrate that you have experience of logistics administration, notably in deep sea freight forwarding?

**The Role**:
In the Logistics Administrator role you'll report to the Logistics Manager and will be primarily responsible for playing an essential part of the freight forwarding department and requires the management and facilitation of booking instructions from customersand suppliers while accurately creating SGL Job Files, and ensuring shipments via shipping lines or consolidators.
Specific tasks include:

- Accurately raising all relevant documentation, billing out, invoicing and closing off the file while ensuring the highest level of customer services, cost effectiveness and staying within the required timeframes
- Completing accurately B/L's, COO, Certs of Age, EUR1 and any other required documentation
- Liaising between shipping companies and clients on a regular basis
- Verifying if UK stamp duty removal is required for order shipping
- Arrange international freight through to destination
This position is based in the company's Thurrock office, so please ensure that's within a reasonable commutable distance for you before you apply.
The standard working hours for this job are Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm.
To be the right person for Logistics Administrator role you will need direct experience of logistics administration, notably in deep sea freight forwarding.
We also need you to have prior experience of and understand the freight forwarding environment and processes involved.
It's also essential that you've got experience of working within a deadline driven environment that requires full focus.
It's important that you also have the following:

- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with numeracy to at least level 1
- Excellent planning, organisational and project management skills
- Commercial awareness
You'll also need to be the following:

- Able to develop knowledge of the legal requirements for moving customs controlled products such as alcohol
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Able to manage all elements of work activity while working as part of a team
