**Location: Albrighton**

**Primary purpose**:
***This is a senior role which reports directly to, and closely supports the Finance Director. Leading and supporting a team of 8, you'll develop fantastic relationships with your stakeholders, making your team a trusted partner to the business and supporting them to drive the success of the business.

You'll drive positive change and improvements ensuring a visible and regular presence, refining processes, introducing new ways of working and ultimately maximising the "value added" by the team. You will have ultimate responsibility for all group (UK/Japan/USA/EU) finance activities.

***The business operates with a newly formed business information unit, there is flexibility within the role depending on your skills, background and preferences. You will either oversee the monthly management accounts to point of creation. Or, will have responsibility, working with the commercial accountant, for variance analysis, analysis packs, commentary and reporting at commercial meetings.

***Key deliverables**:

- Oversee preparation and analysis of month end management accounts, with the aim to report on working day 5
- Completion of monthly executive report packs with commentary
- Review and improve current standard costing model
- Create a new internal audit function within the finance team
- Work closely with the Fulfilment department to implement a new stock system
- Partner other functional departments by providing accurate and timely financial information
- Manage the entire year end process, including liaising with UK, USA and Japanese auditors
- Overall responsibility for balance sheet and reconciliations
- Review, improve and document processes within the finance department
- Participate in budgeting processes
- Implementing department KPI’s

**Your day to day**:

- Manage and support a team of 8 to ensure smooth running of key finance areas:

- Purchase Ledger
- Sales Ledger
- Payroll
- Costings
- Management accounts
- Treasury
- Tax
- Monitoring financial transactions and internal controls
- Cash flow forecasting
- Reviewal of finance KPI’s
- Evaluating and managing risk
- P&L ownership of some overhead costs such as insurance and energy
- Authorisation of invoices
- Maintaining financial systems

**What you bring to the team**
- Ability to demonstrate previous experience within a similar role.
- Costing/manufacturing background desirable
- Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Stakeholder management - ability to influence and manage at all levels of the business. As well as being personable and able to build strong, credible relationships
