Group Accountant Glasgow offering £40,000 - £47,000 plus benefits

**Hays are Partnered with a highly successful Asset Manager in Glasgow as they recruit for a Group Accountant. Our client are based in the City Centre with good transport links to the office and a generous benefits package in addition to career progressionand development. This would be a fantastic move for a Newly Qualified Accountant stepping outside practice and will offer significant career prospects to grow into a Financial Controller role over time.
The Group Accountant will join a team of 30 in Finance with a salary banding between £40,000 - £47,000 depending on experience. You will also receive healthcare, 33 days holiday and ACCA/CA membership subscription costs covered.
This is a commercial role which will offer an exciting and challenging career path for an ambitious individual.
**Your new role**
The Group Accountant will report to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for Financial, Management and Consolidated Accounting task. You will see a broad spectrum across the Finance department from month-end to board reporting, to cashflow forecasting.You will continually review processes for ongoing improvement in the workflows related to the close process. You will also have involvement in accounting for the acquisition of new companies and assets as part of a wider growth strategy.
The Group Accountant will also assist with the preparation of annual budgets, periodic forecasts & weekly cash flow forecasts, participating in and completing special accounting projects as assigned.
This is a fast paced, dynamic organisation with a growth focus across the whole team.
**What you'll need to succeed
**You will be a Qualified Accountant with experience in Accounts preparation and IFRS reporting. You will have a desire to progress and learn within your first 6 months, understanding the business and providing input into business processes to enhanceways of working. You will be passionate about your own career and taking this to the next level.
