**Description**

As a Customer Marketing Specialist, you will work with the EMEA and global Marketing Managers and help communicate the CME Group value proposition. You will partner with our Marketing and Sales teams to help define and execute the go-to-market strategy across all owned, earned, and paid channels. This position will report to the Executive Director of Customer Marketing in Chicago.

What we're looking for:

- ** A Multi-Channel Marketer**: with some experience working on and executing strategic digital marketing campaigns to drive awareness, lead generation, and customer retention
- ** A Storyteller**: who can differentiate CME offerings with engaging content conveyed via thoughtful design, creative and content
- ** A Change Agent**: who assesses and challenges the status quo, and positions innovative ideas to relevant stakeholders

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Work with a global team to develop and execute omni-channel marketing strategies
- Partner with Marketing, Business Line Managers and Sales to develop audience-driven product marketing and sales campaigns
- Collaborate across teams to deliver timely and impactful communications, content, and events that drive engagement with key clients and prospects
- Tailor content, with a commitment to and focus on targeting and segmentation
- Utilize data and insights to inform decision making and understanding

**Qualifications**:

- You have relevant marketing experience (1-3+years), with exposure to financial industries
- You’re excited by financial markets and the prospects of immersing yourself in the world of trading
- You have participated in developing, executing, and measuring multi-channel marketing programs
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills: a persuasive and passionate communicator
- You like to write and develop content
- You enjoy strategizing and deploying impactful social media programs, and leveraging data to adjust course for optimal results
- You enjoy collaboration and working as part of a global team with people of all levels; comfortable in a global company and working in cross functional team
- Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Proven ability to make decisions, manage projects, meet strict deadlines and work with data

**Software Requirements**:

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Especially Excel and PowerPoint), Salesforce, Marketing Cloud or similar automation platforms (Pardot, Marketo), Sprinklr or similar social platform (Hootsuite), Google Analytics, and Tableau

**Education**
- Bachelor’s degree in business related field required, MBA a plus
