Buyer

A reputable and long-standing organisation is seeking a Buyer to join their team in Stockbridge on a permanent basis, with a salary of up to £30,000. The Buyer will be situated in the purchasing department and will have the opportunity for significant career advancement in the coming years.

This role is ideal for individuals with prior experience in purchasing or procurement, particularly in a manufacturing setting, at the level of buyer or junior buyer. Those who are ambitious and eager to advance their careers will thrive in this position.

**Role responsibilities of the Buyer include**:

- Manage the order process in accordance with current procedures
- Ensuring all products are delivered on time and in full
- Maintain accurate ETAs on internal stock system
- Liaising with the warehouse to resolve any issues or problems with suppliers
- Working proactively to achieve set goals and KPIs
- Maintaining and developing relationships with existing suppliers

**Person Specification of the Buyer**:

- Previous experience working with procurement/purchasing
- Excellent administrative and planning skills with an eye for detail
- Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
- Ability to negotiate pricing with suppliers
- Proficient with Microsoft suites specifically Excel

**Salary**

Up to £30k

This role will be well suited to you if you have held a role within purchasing or procurement as a buyer, sourcing specialist, commodity manager, category manager, senior buyer, materials planner, materials controller or junior buyer.
