Our advanced manufacturing site in Dudley, West Midlands, is a ready to cook site where value is added to the products by adding spices and other seasonings. Production capacity increases during the summer months at Dudley, as the demand for seasonal products such as barbeque food rises.

Our Dudley site employs approximately 400 talented individuals, who help to supply some of the UK’s largest supermarkets and popular restaurants

**About the Role**:

As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to investing in our **people** across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated **Materials Scheduler** to join our **Planning **Team, based at our **Dudley** site.

The role is both **factory and office **based, so you’ll be working in a fast-paced, dynamic FMCG factory environment which is noisy and refrigerated in some areas, manufacturing short shelf life products where hygiene standards are critical._ _As **Materials Scheduler**, you’ll be working** Monday to Friday 08:00-16:00**

**What will you be doing as a Scheduler at Avara?**

Scheduling and maintenance of all stock and materials required for product assembly in a fast moving, high volume, and frequently changing environment, where there is a significant amount of incoming data from various sources which requires the ability to analyse, process, make decisions and communicate effectively.

**What will your key responsibilities as a Materials Scheduler include?**
- Create and manage daily stock schedules, from stock to production
- Provide cover, where required, for the Factory Planner when on annual leave etc
- Ensure Purchase Orders are raised weekly for all areas of packaging, materials and PPE
- Receipt and ensure management of PO’s once raised
- Monitor all ingredient and packaging stocks and report any potential problems to escalate or find a solution
- Investigation and resolve any stock queries
- Maintaining daily orders of frozen stocks, packaging etc
- Print and communicate current days issues
- Monitor and maintain PPE stocks, ensuring remain in enough supply
- Communicate to third parties and suppliers any missing delivery notes
- Communicate and manager intersite stock transfers
- Attend any daily meetings to discuss materials and stocks and report any issues
- Organisation of transfers between Norish and Castle Mill
- Responsible for the weekly stock take and ensuring stocks are replenished where required

**What you’ll need to be successful**:

- Ability to focus on the right priorities whilst adhering to strict deadlines.
- Proactive problem solver with good decision-making skills.
- A logical thinker with strong numerical, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Good standard of IT skills and standard knowledge of MS package.
- Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in key situations
- Flexible, adaptable, and eager to learn.
- Self-motivated.
