**ROLE OVERVIEW**

The Quality improvement technician is responsible for working closely with the wider Config team to help troubleshoot problematic builds and processes, and see them through to resolution, take the lead in quality control and perform some QC functions. They play a key role in the upkeep of build documentation and the platform that delivers it. This role requires someone to be incredibly organised, focused, self-motivated and flexible. A very keen attention to detail is required, while showing a high level of understanding of the CDW way and demonstrating its core values at all times.

**KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY**
- Troubleshooting and resolution of failed hardware, including calls with manufacturers
- Troubleshooting and resolution of build issues
- Escalation of persistent issues to Consultant team
- Troubleshooting and resolution of stock issues
- Quality checking of some orders
- Raise the overall awareness of quality requirements across the team
- Ensure excellent communication on what is happening with problem orders is relayed to the leadership team and account teams, and at times customers directly.
- Create new or amend existing client build documents to a very high standard, ensuring processes are as efficient and simple as possible, ensuring instructions are clear and accurate for other technicians to follow
- Test new builds and run through build documents
- Provide support and assistance to the wider team during peak periods
- Take a proactive approach towards new technology.
- Help develop technicians within the dept. by working closely with the Trainer to identify skills gaps.
- Continual improvement of self to promote improvement of the departments processes and skill set
- Identify skills gaps within the team and help to transfer knowledge to fill gaps
- Identify equipment required to perform relevant tasks, or to improve productivity
- Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines at all times

**OTHER**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the leadership team.
- It will be necessary on occasion for this individual to work beyond their regularly scheduled shift
- Commit to self-improvement and self-learning
- At times complete tasks normally associated with higher levels of technician to aid co-worker development
- To demonstrate the values as laid out in the CDW way and to keep updated with the CDW way
- To always look for improvement ideas to help the productivity and efficiency of the department
- Demonstrate ability to lift and carry up to 15kg of force frequently (34-67% of the workday) and up to 25kg of force occasionally (0-33% of the workday).A buddy lift system must be utilized for loads weighing more than 25kg
- Demonstrate ability to perform eight or more hours of standing, walking, bending, lifting, stooping and carrying products in combination at any given time
- At times work in a warehouse environment which includes changes in temperature as weather fluctuates.

**KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE**
- Proven analytical skills and the ability to solve problems and feedback to others
- Quality control experience a key advantage
- Ability to share knowledge with others to aid team development
- Demonstrate the ability to handle projects and feedback to other parties on progress, issues, resolutions etc..
- Exceptional organisational skills and ability to keep focus on quality
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
- Ability to quickly learn about new technology and keep pace with an ever-changing industry and help communicate to the wider team
- Ability to show flexibility to help the changing needs of the department
- Show a clear path towards obtaining relevant certifications and learn new technology.
- Basic warehousing experience would be an advantage
