Community Services Transformation Finance Lead

The Finance Lead for the Community Services Transformation is a new role created following the decision taken to insource the teams within Adult Social Work and Adults with Learning Disabilities and their Families, when the current contract with HCRG Care Group ends on the 31st March 2024. The role will be responsible for forecasting, monitoring and controlling finances during the transition to and the initial year of services in sourcing.

**About the role**

As the Community services Transformation Finance Lead you will be a key member of the Programme Team, responsible for ensuring that the projects you are accountable for are monitored against a financial baseline and lead on budget development, finance monitoring, assurance and governance. You will act as the lead financial advisor and main point of contact, liaison and co-ordination between the programme delivery team and the Council’s finance team to ensure that all financial matters, including business planning, financial monitoring and risk identification, can be effectively managed and resolved within the programme and across the Council.

**About you**

You will have experience of managing the finances of significant projects. As the senior finance lead for the Community Services Transformation you will manage the finances of the programme, establish the future budgets and ensure critical aspects are communicated to key stakeholders, including senior leadership team, councillors and the public.

A proactive manager with a collaborative work style, you will lead by example, demonstrating a people-focussed, risk-based approach to finances in support of programme and council strategic objectives.

Your main place of work will be the award-winning, modern Civic Centre in Keynsham, halfway between Bath and Bristol, easily accessible via car or public transport, with a train station 5 minutes’ walk away.
