**What you’ll get up to day to day**

Our client cares deeply about employee wellbeing, so the role has come about to help enhance the environment on offer and help stay at the forefront of Scottish business practice. You’ll utilise your passion for safety to deliver first-rate services to thePort Glasgow site primarily while assisting with other sites. Broadly speaking, you’ll oversee implementation, communication and roll out of H&S policies and initiatives. Daily, you could be:

- Helping to grow and maintain the ISO45001 management system
- Making sure the emergency plan is up to date and that relevant systems have been tested
- Conducting site audits to maintain peak performance
- Carrying out a range of administrative duties including updating the COSHH register or collating and reporting on monthly data
- Being the designated point of contact on site for any H&S related issues
- Ensuring incidents are investigated and resolved adequately
- Collaborating openly with other areas of the business
- Highlighting and assisting in training needs

**Are you who we’re looking for?**
- You have a recognised Health and Safety qualification or certificate
- You have 5 years experience in a comparable H&S role
- You are independent and can use your own initiative and judgment
- You consider the needs of the team always
- You are tech-savvy, organised and analytic minded
- Your communication skills are first-class
- You possess a full driving license
